As a DONA International trained postpartum doula, I care for families at their homes in the weeks after the birth of a baby.
As an experienced mother of two, I am committed to supporting brand-new families at home in a quiet, joyful, and productive manner.
How did I get here?
After eighteen successful years running communications for organizations in the arts, tech, finance, and global BPO industries, I found that motherhood is my true passion now.
A stay-at-home mom for seven years, I marinated in my motherhood process, savored my children (currently ages 8 and 10), and filled in for teachers in preschool & elementary school when needed.
Joy - for me in my 40s - is reading or playing with children, soothing or feeding babies, and helping or celebrating new parents.
How do I doula?
I support the postpartum mother at home to ensure she recovers emotionally and physically from the birth process, while physically and logistically setting the rest of the family up for success.
I nurture, guide, and educate the new parents regarding what is expected during the postpartum phase, focusing on family bonding, rest, and good nutrition.
I help practically in the moment with the baby and siblings to bring peace to chaos.
I am extra hands that can breathe confidence into what could otherwise be a potentially difficult transition.
I am a compassionate audience for your birth story and will work tirelessly to ensure mom and dad rest and heal from the birth event.
Day 1 home from the hospital is my favorite time to start working with new families!
